My Way to Deal with the Stress
Nowadays, almost everyone is under the pressure of modern life more or less. The world is getting too complex. The pace of life keeps getting faster.Financial pressures are growing. Competition is too intense.Indeed, stress can make our life exciting and challenging. However, too much stress can seriously affect our physical and mental well-being. A major challenge in the stress-filled world today is to learn how to deal with stress so that it doesn't become overwhelming.
In my opinion, there are many ways to ease the tension. Firstly, I choose to take physical exercise when I feel nervous, angry or upset. Exercise such as running, playing football, swimming and even walking in the campus can really release the pressure. Secondly,I may try to find a partner to talk to.It helps a lot to speak to someone about my concerns and worries. A close friend, a teacher or a family member can help me solve my problem in different ways. Thirdly, I always remember to make time for fun amid work time. I take frequent breaks during my study to have fun and relax.Lastly, ! try to get enough rest and eat well. If one doesn't sleep well and stay hungry, he will have less energy to handle the stressful situation.
As a matter of fact, there are many other ways which I haven't tried. As long as we begin to recognize and understand more about how stress affects our life,we'll come up our own ways to cope with it. Although we can't live completely free of stress, we can do some-thing about it. Then we can improve the quality of our life and perhaps live even longer.

Volunteering for the Special Olympics World Game
Liu Ming did not know what to expect when he volunteered for the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, back in October 2007. Now he thinks it was the most amazing experience of his life. “It's fantastic to work as a volunteer!”he says.
The Special Olympics World Games give children and adults with intellectual disabilities a chance to show their skills to the world. They include many events similar to those in the Olympics, such as basketball, football and swimming.
Over 40,000 people gave up their spare time for the 2007 Special Olympic World Games. It was neces-sary for these volunteers to receive training before doing the tasks. Then they provided support for the ath-letes and helped make the event a great success.
“I was the swimming coach for a young boy from North China called Li Hai”, says Liu Ming.”He was born with intellectual disabilities. It was very brave of him to join the competition. To Li Hai, the most impor-tant thing is not to win a gold or a silver, but to take part in. Li Hai tried his best and finished fourth. He feels more confident now because of the Special Olympics World Games.”
The Special Olympics World Games also bring people together. Athletes and volunteers from different backgrounds feel like part of one big family.“It's great for us to work closely with these special athletes. You get to help them achieve their dreams”, says Liu Ming.
