From the cartoon given above, we can see that there is a mother talking to her son: "I know you care about
cleaning up the planet. Your bedroom is part of the planet! "
Funny as the cartoon may seem, it reflects that some people tend to neglect the small things around them while aiming at something big. Apparently, doing small things is the first step of achieving success and will lay the foundation for doing something great. As the saying goes, "Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." A big accomplishment is based on a series of small ones. Without the experience and the skills we master from doing small things, it is difficult for us to meet the challenges in achieving something big. Just like the boy in the picture, if he cannot even keep his bedroom tidy and clean, how can he clean up the planet?
As far as I am concerned, under no circumstances should we undervalue the power of doing small things. It is by doing small things that great success is achieved, because each time we make a little progress, we are one step  further towards success.
