They can play different roles in this virtual community. Besides, playing online games can help people cultivate some desirable qualities, such as teamwork spirit and perseverance. On the other hand, online games are detrimental in many aspects. Playing online games can distract people from their work and study. Furthermore, too much indulgence can lead to the deterioration of one's physical health. Some people even think that online games should take the blame for teenagers' increasing misbehavior.
All the above opinions make sense, and from my point of view, online games are neither good nor evil. As an old proverb goes, "Fire is a good servant but a bad master. " Online games serve as a good servant; how to use them depends on ourselves.
