As the saying goes, he conquers who endures. Those people with great endurance often prove to be more likely to achieve their goals. In this fast-paced society where effectiveness and quick satisfaction appear to be the pursuit of people, hardly do people have the patience to stick with their dreams if efforts are not transformed into fruits in the short term.
Actually, however the society may change, the traditional Chinese virtues such as endurance should remain unchanged. By no means can endurance be identical to cowardice: Endurance is the courage shown even if the whole world is against us. For example, an ancient Chinese character,Goujian, king of Yue, once taken captive by his enemy, pretended to be obedient.But after released, he determined to take revenge. He endured unimaginable hardships for about twenty years and finally defeated his enemy.
Therefore, it is important that we never give up when things do not turn out as we expected.  We should hold a long-term view and persuade ourselves that all the time spent and efforts made shall fruit. In addition, we ought to hold fast to our goals and be ready to whether any storm in life.
